The group made frequent appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson which helped in boosting their international image.
A group as talented as The Kings Singers couldn't go without praise and praise did they get. It came in the form of a Grammy Award in 2009 for their CD, Simple Gifts. They won it in the category of Best Classical Crossover Album. Another Grammy came their way in 2012 at the 54th ceremony of Grammy Awards for their work on the album Light and Gold in the category of Best Choral Performance. They credit their influences to vocal jazz group The Hi-Lo's, the Mastersingers and the Comedian Harmonists. Sir David Willcocks is the man behind bringing the best out of The Kings Singer, their music director at the King's College, and the group also regards him as one of their major influences.
The Kings Singers have performed across the globe, in all the notable venues like the Berlin Philharmonie, Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House. It is the style of their music that has taken them to Finland, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Canada, the US, Germany, France, New Zealand and Australia.
