Pork Soda became the band's second album to score platinum position. The band also made several appearances at the well-known music festivals such as the Lollapalooza and Woodstock '94.
Tales from the Punchbowl got Primus their first ever Grammy Award nominations for the song 'Wynona's Big Brown Beaver'. The song broke records and is the band's most popular song in their history. The video for the song was on yet another unique concept with the band members costumed in cartoon-like plastic cowboy dresses. Nonetheless, the album was declared gold. After composing the theme song for South Park in 1996, the band moved on to release another set of albums, Brown Album (1999) followed by the Antipop (1999). Antipop was the band first initiative with contribution from other artists and bands. Limp Bizkit and Metallica were the highlighted contributors.
After taking a break for a few years, Primus entered the industry once again in 2003 with an EP album titled Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People. The DVD release was followed with another compilation DVD by the name Hallucino-Genetics: Live 2004. The band went on to heavy touring routine with performances in Vegoose, Lollapalooza, and Hedgpeth Festival. Blame It on the Fish and They Can't All Be Zingers are other greatest hit collections released by the band. Primus signed the formal deal to use John the Fisherman in one of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 games.
