Paquita La Del Barrio is a famous Mexican ranchera singer from Alto Lucero in the Mexican state of Veracruz. She is a singer and songwriter, who has been active in Mexican and Latin music since 1970. Today, she is regarded as a living legend and is one of the foremost ranchera singers in Mexico.

Her songs and albums take a stand against Mexico's rampant sexist male culture, making her popular amongst female audiences in Latin America. She is known for teasing male members of her audience by using signature phrases such as "Me estas oyendo, inutil?" (Are you listening to me, you good-for-nothing). Paquita's songs have been released by Balboa Records and Musart mainly, with one album released by Orfeon Records. She has also collaborated with Lucha Villa, Joan Sebastian, Lola Beltran, Lupita d'Alessio and Alberto Vazquez on their albums. With some of these artists, such as Vazquez, she has worked on multiple albums.

Her more recent works includes two albums in 2007 (No Chifle Usted and Puro Dolor) and four albums in 2008 (Las Consedntidas De Paquita La Del Barrio, Lo Nuevo De Paquita La Del Barrio, Las Mujeres Mandan and Rata De Dos Patas).
