Victor Manuel Ruiz, popularly known as just Victor Manuelle, is an acknowledged Puerto Rican American, who has specialized as a salsa singer and comprises other attributes as well, such as a songwriter, along with being known to his fans as the Youths Sonero, as he is also an improvisational sonero. He has also been nominated for the Latin Grammy.

Being brought up in Puerto Rico, Victor was actually born in New York on the 28th of September, 1970. As he was raised up in Puerto Rico, Victor largely enjoyed salsa music and it laid a huge impact on him, especially in his early years.

He is known as Vinki, his nickname, among his family members. At present, Victor Manuelle is divorced, and is a father of three children. He had an affair with the film actress Roselyn Sanchez for many years, which ended in the December of 2005.

Victor Manuelle entered the world of singing by chance while attending his school's graduation party, where the salsa superstar Gilberto Santa Rosa had come to perform live. Victor ended up singing with Santa Rosa during that concert. Santa Rosa got highly impressed by the boy and recommended Don Peri?on, Puerto Rican bandleader, to hire Victor as a backup singer.

The band hired the teenage Victor and these years proved to be very enlightening for him, as Victor got a chance to perform with countless salsa artists. Victor Manuelle was the signed to Sony Tropical as a solo artist. He released his debut album, entitled, Justo A Tiempo, produced by Santa Rosa, in 1993.

Although, Manuelle is recognized chiefly with salsa monga, he has also tested himself with methods such as Colombian vallenato and urban reggae-ton. He is distinct in the sense that he has never recorded in English, made a Latin pop album. He has never even endeavored into acting, as he prefers to remain a musician restrained within salsa music only.

However, Manuelle has proved himself as a very productive and a creative songwriter, and currently, he only works on his self-written, or co-written songs. His other works include his services as a co-host in the 2006s seventh Latin Grammy Awards, which were held in the City of New York.

In the recent years, Victor Manuelle has become one of the best-selling salsa artists who have sold more than 1 million copies to his albums in the USA market. His most famous albums till date include his three studio-albums: Inconfundible-1999; Instinto Y Deseo-2001; Traves?a-2004.

The songs from these albums have topped many charts and the Billboard for a long duration. A joint, live-album of Victor Manuelle and Santa Rosa was released in 2005, after which Manuelle released his tenth studio album, entitled Decision Un?nime, in the year 2006.

The man conquered the hearts of billions since he sang an a capella version of Celia Cruz's signature song, La Vida Es Un Carnaval. He released his latest album, Soy, in 2008.
