Born on November 24, 1970 in Long Beach, California, Venegas was destined to become the super-star she is today. Venegas grew up in Tijuana and began taking piano lessons when she was only eight-years-old.

Before launching a solo career, Julieta Venegas performed for several bands of which Tijuana No! is a famous one. Her debut album was released in 1998 with the collaboration of Gustavo Santaolalla.

Titled as Aqu? her initial effort garnered good response mainly because of two hit singles De Mis Pasos and Como Se. This was followed by some profitable touring and another album in 2000, titled Bueninvento.

After first two albums, Julieta Venegas proved her craft on various facets of music. She emerged not only as a pleasant singer but also as skilled writer and wonderful instrumentalist. The album was released first in Mexico on the May 30, 2006 and then in U.S. on June 6, 2006. It sold over 1 million copies worldwide thus establishing Julietas repute as a hot selling artist internationally.

In 2007, Julieta Venegas came up with three back-to-back hits titled Grandes Exitos,Realmente Lo Mejor and Realmente Lo Mejor y Cosas Raras. Like that of her studio albums, Julieta Venegas regularly treat her fans with her impeccable live acts. She even recorded a live album titled MTV Unplugged in 2008 that contained some of her very enchanting tunes.

Over the years, Julieta Venegas has maintained her status as a sell-out touring artist. She regularly tours different countries and performs live for her international fans. She has also collaborated successfully with many famous artists including Latin stars Paulina Rubio, Mala Rodr?guez, Miguel Bose and Los Tigres del Norte.
