Details of Dragonforce and the Ticket Luck value
DragonForce are British power metal band, known for fast guitar solos, fantasy-based lyrics, and electronic sounds in their music to add to the video game metal effect. Their discography currently consists of one demo album, four studio albums and four singles.
DragonForce's influences are drawn from various kinds of metal such as melodic styles of rock, and in particular video games such as Wonder Boy in Monster World, and the Final Fantasy series. DragonForce has often been labeled speed metal due to the fast tempos present in their songs, but always as a supplement to other types of metal descriptors.
Formed in 1998 from the remnants of the band Demoniac under the name of DragonHeart, the band changed their name to DragonForce. They embarked on their career with publishing of their early songs on the first incarnation of MP3.com in 2000.
The album brought in a record deal with Noise Records with whom DragonForce launched their debut studio album Valley of the Damned in 2003. The hit title song Valley of the Damned reached over 500,000 downloads in the first few months.
The album was later set to be remastered and released with bonus DVD on September 24, 2007. DragonForce came up with their second studio album Sonic Firestorm in 2004.
Released on Noise Records, the album was followed by the bands first single Fury of the Storm in 2005. Prior to the release of their fourth album Ultra Beatdown, Sonic Firestorm contained both the longest and shortest released DragonForce songs.
The shortest song is now Strike Of The Ninja, though Soldiers of the Wasteland remains the longest Dragonforce Song. The English metal group then signed to Roadrunner Records who issued their first charting album and single, Inhuman Rampage and Through the Fire and Flames, in 2006. The success was followed by Operation Ground and Pound later that year.
DragonForces remixed and remastered version of Valley of the Damned was set for release in October 2007, but has since been postponed. The group launched their third album, Inhuman Rampage, on 9 January 2006.
In America, the album reached number 1 in the Billboards Heatseekers chart. Inhuman Rampages first single Through the Fire and Flames received rock radio and Fuse TV airplay.
The song was also placed as playable track on the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Inhuman Rampage went Silver in the UK, selling 12,000 units in the US and more than half a million worldwide.
DragonForces fourth studio album Ultra Beatdown and its preceding single, Heroes of Our Time, were released on 25 August 2008 and 4 July 2008 respectively through Roadrumer Records and Universal Music.
Heroes of Our Time was the first studio album to feature Frederic Leclercq on bass and was posted on the bands MySpace profile.
The songs Heartbreak Armageddon, The Fire Still Burns and A Flame for Freedom were all played on 106.1 Rock Radio during a interview with ZP Theart on 15 July 2008. Prior to the Ultra Beatdowns release, the shortest song was the track Dawn Over a New World, from the second album, Sonic Firestorm. It is now a special edition track Strike of the Ninja.
Strike of the Ninja also holds the honor of being the first and, so far, only unedited song recorded by DragonForce with a length of less than five minutes. DragonForce's musical style includes emphasis on fast, twin-guitar harmonies in speed metal styles.
However, they also take into consideration lyrics of a fantastical or epic nature, with a hopeful and optimistic attitude, often with recurring themes and lyrical phrases in multiple songs.
