What makes teens' heart throb? Well, you guessed it, it's Demi Lovato! She is a new addition to the show business. Lovato is amongst the talents who have proved themselves in various arts fields. At the tender age of 17, she has garnered a substantial fan base for her creative talent and potential. Acting, singing, songwriting and playing guitar & piano, Demi Lovato has lived up to the expectations. Critics hailed, 'a fresh wave of talent in the industry', 'boasts great influence of her own' and 'a style tycoon for teens' etc. Needless to say many look up to her. Despite receiving critical acclaim, Demi Lovato still dreams to achieve more in her life.

Hailed from Dallas, Texas, Demi Lovato launched her career at just the age of six. She would appear as a participant in various beauty pageants before landing her first major on-camera assignment in Barney & Friends. Over the next few years, Lovato continued to pursue her love of acting and singing. She made several appearances in a number of productions and contests. Later the year 2006 saw her breaking into mainstream television. She appeared in Prison Break, Split Ends and Just Jordan. Lovato then moved to the hallowed halls of preteen stardom with her appearance on the Disney Channel. She showed up as a participant in a series called As the Bell Rings.

Demi Lovato's acting career made her one of the most popular Disney sensations, especially when she played Mitchie Torres in a movie Cam Rock. This Disney Channel Original production earned Lovato broadest stardom for her lead role opposite the Jonas Brothers. At present, she is playing a character of Sonny Monroe in a series called Sonny with a Chance. Lovato has strong vocal chords which make her stand out among stars of her age. She has done voiceovers for both national radio and television ads. At her tender age Demi has worked with such big companies as Denny's Radica, and Hasbro that emerging talent can dream of.

Continued gaining success, Lovato then jump-started her music career as a teen pop vocalist. She embarked on extensive cross-country tours. Though the Camp Rock starlet Demi Lovato was brought into limelight at 6, but she has just recently made it to mainstream with her debut music album, Don't Forget. Released in September 2008, the album received positive reviews and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The album features pounding and catchy rock beats which will have listeners playing the album over and over again. Lovato's Don't Forget was produced by Jon Fields at the helm.

Lovato teamed up with Jonas Brothers to co-write songs for Don't Forget. After releasing Don't Forget, Demi Lovato set out country wide tour in order to promote the album. She also did an opening act for Jonas Brothers' Burning Up Tour. Even after Camp Rock and Don't Forget, she has not slowed down and is filming another Disney Channel Original movie called Princess Protection Program. Demi Lovato is also lined up to star in Welcome to Mollyword. Welcome to Mollyword is Lovato's own TV series in which she is playing the role of Molly. Looks like Levato's plans of becoming an actress and singer have come true!
