Camila was founded in 2005 in Mexico City by three friends namely Pablo Hutado (guitars), Samuel Samo Parra (vocals) and Mario Domm (piano, music producer and singer). These three friends have been into music for quite some time now, Parra and Domm have worked with many other famous artists as well such as Alejandra Guzman, Yuri, Alan, Mari del Sol, Alejandro Fernandez, Thalia, Cristian Castro, Reyli and Leon, Paulina Rubio and Kalimba. Camila is extremely popular in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Spain and Mexico, till date they have won an amazing three Latin Grammy Awards and one Premios Lo Nuestro in the year 2010. The band is under exclusive contract with music giant Sony BMG.

The band has released eight singles, six music videos and two studio albums. Camila's first album Todo Cambio was released in 2006, this album was terrific and went to #15 position on Argentinean Charts, #2 on Mexican and #1 on both US Latin Pop and US Latin Charts. This album sold 300,000 copies alone in Mexico, 1,000,000 around the globe and went Gold in Argentina, Platinum in the US and 3x Platinum in Mexico. The second album was Dejarte de Amar it also received superbly by the fans, it sold 270,000 copies in Mexico and went 4x Platinum in Mexico. This album raced to the #1 slot on US Latin Pop, Us Latin and Mexican Charts, Dejarte de Amar was also certified Platinum in the US. Three singles of Camila namely Todo Cambio, Coleccionista de Canciones and Abrazame earned Platinum status in Mexico.
