It was released with a major label and went platinum thrice placing the band in the mainstream of rock music. After that there was no looking back for them. Later that year, the band also toured the United Kingdom, where its popularity had already spread. The next year, Papa Roach was at the Ozzfest, performing on the celebrated main stage. That year was spent in heavy touring both in UK and the United States. Touring the nation from the West Coast to the East Coast in 2008, the band also played at the highly octane Crue fest. That year, Papa Roach's next studio album also came out which was again written at the infamous Paramour Mansion. Marking the many changes in band's life including the tenth anniversary of their signing to DreamWorks Records, Papa Roach aptly named the album Metamorphosis. with punch drums and solid guitar riffs, it is a catchy and well-produced album. A number of its songs that have already become hits and have also hit the radio include "Lifeline", "I Almost Told You That I Loved You", "Had Enough", etc. the themes of several of the songs on this album are social and economic issues prevalent today. Metamorphosis debuted at number eight on The Billboard 200 chart in early 2009. The year is also spent by the band in constant touring with several solo as well as co-headlining summer tour dates alongside Nickelback and Shaddix. Currently the band is touring with JET - an Australian rock sensation - with earth shattering performances at a number of major venues around the United States.
In the beginning, Papa Roach was heavily influenced by nu metal but later became purely rock based. However, over the past few albums, their music has combined elements from metal, hardcore, punk rock and even pop rock. Ultimately whatever they do, they do it very tastefully making their music so appealing and popular worldwide. Their live performances are equally exciting and entertaining. The energy is so uncontainable that usually after a while the whole crowd is on its feet jumping and singing along to the very effortlessly performed tracks. Papa Roach vocalist, Jacoby Shaddix is constantly working the crowd and is rarely found standing still. Playing classic songs like "Scars" and "Last Resort" as well as their latest hits, the group always gives an action packed set making their concerts a hard to forget experience!
