Details of Trans siberian Orchestra and the Ticket Luck value
Trans siberian Orchestra
Rock Orchestra, Trans Siberian Orchestra (TSO), was founded in 1996 by its founding members, Robert Kinkel, Jon Oliva and Paul O'Neill. The name of the group was inspired by a Trans-Siberian railway; which, according to Robert Kinkel, connects many cultures like the group's music.
The group was founded in Lakeland, Florida and is based in New York City, but it brings its live acts to several countries all across the globe. Their music usually revolves around several genres including, symphonic metal, heavy metal and progressive rock.
TSO is also famous for its Christmas Songs, which receive major air play on several radio stations. Some of their famous Christmas songs include "Wizards in Winter" and "Christmas Eve".
During its studio recording, The Trans Siberian Orchestra utilizes the 60 piece orchestra along with a Choir, but during their tour in 2004, the band used 14 vocalists and musicians along with two narrators.
Before becoming the founding member of the Trans Siberian Orchestra, O'Neill initially managed and produced a number of famous rock bands such as the Humble Pie, Scorpions and Aerosmith.
O'Neill became acquainted with the other two founding members of the group, Kinkel and Oliva, while he was producing as well as writing for another rock band, Savatage.
Initially Trans Siberian Orchestra came with an idea of the Christmas Carols being played by a rock band in opera style, which was not highly appreciated by the music industry at that time, but later it drew the attention of fans of all ages.
The group's debut album came out the same year it was founded, and it was titled Christmas Eve and Other Stories. The album received positive reviews and after touching the skies of success it still remains Group's Best Selling Album.
Their second album came out almost after two years, in 1998, and was titled "The Christmas Attic". As the title suggests their theme remained the same in their second album as well and contained a song that would become their one of the most famous number, titled "Christmas Canon".
The band drifted from their Christmas theme in their following album that was released in 2000. The title of the album was Beethoven's Last Night and as of today it is the only non-Christmas themed album released by the band. The release of "Beethoven's Last Night" was followed by several years of touring across globe.
After the band was done with their touring, they set their foot in the studio once again to record their next Christmas Themed album titled "Lost Christmas Eve" that was released along with "The Christmas Trilogy", which contained all of their previous Christmas based albums on 3 DVD/CD set.
During early 2005, Trans Siberian Orchestra started working on their next studio album titled "Night Castle", which is scheduled to be released in spring of 2008. "Night Castle", is their second album whose theme will not be based upon Christmas.
The announcement of their new album was made by O'Neill, while the group was performing in a concert on December 30, 2007.
The Group's live performances are known to feature lasers and lights which are coordinated accordingly with their performances along with pyrotechnics, all of which take almost 15 hours to set.
Trans Siberian Orchestra is known to attract a massive number of audiences to its live performances, which is why their 2005 concert tour was ranked #21 on the list of most successful tours as they earned more than US$ 21 Million.
Group's lives shows are divided into two halves; the first half features the songs from their album "Christmas Eve and Other Stories", while in the second half the group performs songs from Beethoven's Last Night, The Lost Christmas Eve and The Christmas Attic along with few covers. Their show is usually ended with the reprise of Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24.
Due to the Group's demand for perfection, it was announced during one of their performances on their 2006 Tour, that the release of their new album, which was scheduled in the spring of 2008, might be delayed.
This delay also gave birth to jokes regarding the release of the next album, and during their 2007-08 winter tour, an on stage joke was also made.
Jon Oliva said during his interview at ytsejam.com, that their long awaited album would set foot to its final stages of production on August 10, 2008, while the released of the album is hoped to be some where, by the holiday season.
