Louis Armstrong Tickets

The first major soloist  in jazz was Louis Armstrong, and he turned out to be the most prominent musician in jazz music history. A renowned trumpet expert, he began playing in the 1920s. Not only was he great trumpeter, but he gained appreciation for his voice and his music.
At that time, Chicago was considered a hot spot for jazz music and a center of the jazz world. Louis Armstrong joined the most influential jazz band, founded by Oliver. He became a permanent figure in popular music because of his engaging personality and distinctive singing. Louis  did not have a music background and learned everything on his own. His music is still alive and  enjoyed by many. Dr. John: Tribute to Louis Armstrong is an upcoming show where you can listen to Armstrong's compositions live. Louis Armstrong tickets will give you the chance to be part of the show and relive the magic of classical hits by the artist.

Louis Armstrong came to prominence as an "inventive" cornet and trumpet player. He was a significant influence in jazz, who managed to shift music emphasis from collective improvisations to solo performances. Louis also had a talent for scat singing and used syllables and sounds instead of lyrics.
The artist came to be known for his instantly-recognizable voice and charismatic stage presence. His influence extends beyond jazz music, as he made a mark in popular music as well. Louis's personality and artistry gained him respect and allowed him social acceptability in the race conscious African American society of the time.
Louis's musicianship developed and matured with time, as he performed in various venues. He featured in comprehensive trumpet solos, being among the first jazzmen to do so. Louis Armstrong injected his own style and personality in his solo performances. Learning to create new sounds, Louis also made use of patter and singing in his performances. The year, 1964 was the most successful year for Armstrong when he recorded "Hello, Dolly!" his biggest-selling record. The track peaked at number one on the pop chart, allowing him to be the oldest artist to ever achieve that feat. He was not only an expert in playing trumpet but also tried his hands on experimenting trombone and immediately adapted the style.

His touring schedule was as busy as of any other acclaimed artist. Louis made number of fans in United States and in many parts of the world. For his tours and performances, he had been given the nickname "Ambassador Satch."
Louis Armstrong gave number of hit albums including "When The Saints Go Marching In", "What a Wonderful World", "Stardust", "Ain't Misbehavin'", "Dream a Little Dream of Me" and many more. He performed in Italy at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1968. Louis enjoyed several music types from blues to Guy Lombardo arrangements, classical symphonies to Latin American folksongs and opera. He also made appearances on TV shows like The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1950s and 60s and was heard on radio programs such as The Story of Swing and This Is Jazz.
Armstrong has been a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and also received Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1972. Apart from singing and playing Jazz music, Louis also appeared in several Hollywood movies, usually playing the role as a musician or a band leader.
