The 2014 Jazz Jam Festival will be bringing performances by numerous 2014 Grammy Award nominees. On the go since 1991, the festival has grown incredibly and now hosts more than hundred concerts at around fifty different venues. Having featured performers like Boney James, Kevin Eubanks and George Benson in the past, this time will be no different as several phenomenal artists are going to set the arena ablaze with their performances. Some of the featured acts are Chuck Loeb, Rick Braun, Randy Brecker, Till Bronner, Normal Brown, Brian Bromberg, Eric Marienthal, Aandy Snitzer, Everette Harp, Geralf Albright and Jeff Lorber.
Deeply influenced by the likes of Wes Montgomery and Jimmy Smith, Chuck Loeb has been enthralling audiences with a mix of jazz fusion for over twenty years. Known for his funky and light beats, the artist is likely to get you all grooving with his soft-toned guitar and tracks like, “Annie' Song”, “D.I.G” and “Organeleptic”. Rick Braun will also be entertaining the audience with high energy performance and beautiful music. He has been travelling across the world with a spectacular playlist of jazz songs, trumpet and a flugelhorn; he will be singing some of his most famous tracks like, “Tijuana Dance” and “The Good Life” at the upcoming concert.
In limelight for his new self-titled album, the jazz trumpet-player, Till Bronner is also scheduled to perform at the All-Star Jazz Jam. Inspired by great artists like Dizzy Gillespie and Chet Baker, the performer has studied music from different institutes in Italy and Germany. Especially famous for his distinctive continental magnetism, he has sold more tracks than any other German Jazz musician. Some of his hit tracks include, “Once Upon a Summertime”, “Lazy Afternoon”, “Red Street” and “Return of the Fold”.
With a reputation of adding the “smooth” to jazz music, Gerald Albright's powerful and soul-stirring music has never failed to impress fans and critics. His sultry tracks like, “In the Mood” and “Bermuda Nights” have always managed to keep jazz music alive. This star gained popularity in 1991 with the release of his album, “Live at Birdlast West”, but the two most famous singles of his career still remain, “Georgia on my Mind” and “Boss of Noca”. Recently, Albright has been stealing the spotlight with his funk gem track, “When Morning Comes”. Those unfamiliar with this sensational sax-man will get to enjoy his performance at the upcoming Jazz Jam.
Famous for playing drums left-handed, Lionel Cordew has also set the goal of enchanting the crowd at the Jazz Jam festival. Cordew started getting acquainted with drums at the age of three, and today, the artist has gathered many fans because of his unique style. Cordew is also skilled in rock, pop, blues and classical drumming. Having performed throughout the United States, Japan, North America and Europe, the artist will surely bring something new to the arena with his remarkable drumming skills.
