Baylor Bears refers to the sports teams of Baylor University. The mascot of BU is a bear named Judge. Baylor's men's sports teams are nicknamed the Bears, and women's teams are nicknamed the Lady Bears.

Baylor captured its first team NCAA title in 2004 as the men's tennis team defeated UCLA in the championship game. Also notable is the match Agassi's final professional match at the U.S. Open when Baylor alum Benjamin Becker beat Andre Agassi.

The Baylor Line is a unique to Baylor University and is one of the first aspects of Baylor spirit to which freshmen are introduced. It is made entirely of freshmen and is the core of Baylor spirit and tradition.

Before each football game, the Baylor Line gathers at one end of Floyd Casey Stadium and waits for the signal to rush the field. It creates a giant human tunnel through which the football team runs to enter the stadium. 6 members of the Baylor Line carry flags with the letters B-A-Y-L-O-R and a large flag with the 'BU'.

Baylor's baseball team is one of the most thriving athletic programs at Baylor. Five Baylor student-athletes were picked up in the 2006 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

At least one Baylor player has been chosen in MLB draft every year since 1991. Since the inception of the Big 12 Conference, Baylor Bears have carried the best conference record at 137-83 (.623).

In 2005, the Bears played one of the toughest schedules in the nation and went all the way to Omaha. Though Baylor had beaten the University of Texas 3 times during conference play yet they lost to it in 2005.

The team's strength was their pitching, with a weekend rotation of Trey Taylor, Cory VanAllen and Mark McCormick. Many players from that team later went on to play professional baseball.

That same year, the Baylor Lady Bears won the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship, defeating the Spartans of Michigan State University 84-62.

Mulkey Robertson became the first women's coach. She is the only the third coach in history to have won an NCAA Division I basketball championship as both a player and a coach.

The 2005 Bears were hindered by only having 7 scholarship players, thus recorded only one win in conference play. In spite of these challenges, head coach Scott Drew put together a 2005 signing class, ranked No. 7 nationally by HoopScoop.

The 2006 Bears picked up Aaron Bruce, the highest scoring freshman in the NCAA in 2005, and Mamadou Diene, rated one of the top 10 centers for the 2007 NBA draft.

Baylor men's teams would win five conference championships in the former Southwest Conference. Since joining the Big 12 conference in 1996, the Bears has held its best season in 2005. In 2004, they defeated their first ranked opponent since 1998, by a score of 35-34.

During the 2006 campaign, the Bears notched a 3-5 record in the Big 12. Both the men's and women's teams call the Ferrell Center their home, which was built in 1988. The Baylor football team plays at Floyd Casey Stadium. It is located a few miles away from campus and was built in 1950.
