The Orange won this game by 21-17.

The college football teams that have been regularly appearing in this game are Minnesota Golden Gophers, Navy Midshipmen, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Syracuse Orange and Illinois Fighting Illini. Some of the players that have been given the MVP Awards are Ray Rice, Terrel Hunt, Andy Dalton, Ricky Dobbs, Chase Clement and Mikel Leshoure. Minnesota Golden Gophers is the only team that has managed to reach the AdvoCare Texas Bowl finals.
