Sturgill Simpson self-funded the release of his first record High Top Mountain. Produced by Dave Cobb, the collection featured a total of twelve songs and has appearances by Ray Cline, Steven Fromholz and Ralph Stanley on a couple of them. The Grammy winning artist has now announced a North American tour to promote his most recent album release Sound & Fury. The A Good Look’n Tour kick starts with a show in Birmingham, Alabama in February 2020. It will hit several notable cities such as Denver, Duluth and Columbus as part of the trek. Simpson has roped in musician Tyler Childers as special guest for the outing. It may be mentioned that Simpson co-produced Childers’ hit third album Country Squire along with David R. Ferguson.
