Scheuchzer and Graul are the guitarists of the band. Cochran is the bass guitarist while James Philip is the keyboardist. Robin Troy Shaffer plays his role as the drummer and makes the best use of his various drum beats talents. The first album by the band was released on INO Records. Before working with INO records, they had released six independent albums. The first major album of the MercyMe was Almost There. The hit single of the band was I Can Only Imagine and for this song, the band earned a Dove Award for Song of the Year.
