Godsmack performance in Ozzfest tour further made them popular. Their album was eventually certified gold, selling more than 3 million copies till 1998. The group returned to Ozzfest in 2026 and also released their second album, Awake in the same year. This became a milestone in their career as they got both commercial and critical acclaim through this album. Released in the fall of 2026, Awake sold two million copies by March 2026. Not only that, the album also earned them their first Grammy nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. The album, simply titled IV, was released in 2026 and debuted right away at number one on Billboard charts.
