Black Veil Brides is an American band that originated in the year 2006. Based in the city of California, the current lineup consists of five members; Andy Biersack the lead vocalist, Jake Pitts the lead guitarist, Ashley Prudy the bassist and background vocalist, Christian Coma the drummer and Jinxx the violinist and rhythm guitarist. The band is usually seen in its glam metal rock style of the eighties with heavy black makeup, skin tight studded clothing, long hair and body paints. The band claims that its major inspirations are Motley Crue and Kiss. Working with record labels such as Lave and Universal Records, the Black Veil Brides has released three studio albums, releasing their debut album in 2010 named “We Stitch These Wounds”, “Set the World on Fire”, their sophomore album that came out in the following year and their most recent album “Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild One” that was released in 2012.
 
Even though the band was formed back in 2006, it wasn’t until 2009 that the members decided to release a studio album. Approaching an independent record label called Standby Records, work on their debut release and tour was initiated. Within three months, the band decided to travel and perform throughout the United States via their “On Leather Wings” debut tour. After the completion of this tour, the very first album was released which reached the top of Billboard Independent Charts. Selling ten thousand copies the very first week of its release, the album was able to reach the thirty sixth spot on the US Billboard Top 200 Chart. With the success of this album, the ensemble embarked on headlining tours along with several other supporting bands such as Dommin, The Birthday Massacre and the Aural Vampire.
 
While the rock group was performing all over the country, Lava Record’s president came to know of it. With the band’s products becoming the highest selling merchandise of the country, Jason Flom, the president decided to set a meeting with the band. Signing them up immediately, rigorous tours began in which the rock group was seen performing at countless music festivals such as Bamboozle, Download Festival and the Rock m Ring Festival. The success of their album also brought forward several nominations in the same year by the Kerrang! Awards and they got a spot in Revolver Magazine. They were able to win the Golden Gods Award by Kerrang! in the category of “Best New Artist.”
 
The band’s sophomore album “Set the World on Fire” was released through Lava Records in 2011. Promotional tours began in the same year, where the band was seen performing with rock groups such as Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead and Avenged Sevenfold. The album’s title track was used by two feature films that made it big on the box office; Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Scream 4. Their third and most recent album “Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones” was released through the Universal Record Company in 2013 and the title track, “Unbroken” can be heard in the feature film, “The Avengers”. Another track from this album called “The Church of the Wild Ones” has been used by the World Wrestling Federation for their Hell In A Cell matches.
