Records and through that label he released 'A Cappella' in 1985. The album made use of programmed vocal samples. His albums 'Nearly Human' and '2^nd Wind' were recorded live. Each song was recorded as a separate track without any overdubbing. '2^nd Wind' was his last album released through a major label.
He used his own label 'Todd Rundgren interactive' which he used to release 'No World Order' in 1993. The album was designed for Phillips CD-I but was released on PC and Macintosh as well. He released 'The Individualist' in 1995 which contained interactive video content. His work with Utopia was probably the best part of his career. He released his 1975 live album titled 'Another Live' with Utopia which showcased his work as a recording engineer. Utopia was originally a progressive rock band but adopted pop style for their 1977 album 'Opp! Wrong Planet'. Utopia's last album was titled 'P.O.V.' which includes 'Mated' which is now a regular song for Rundgren's solo tours.
