Rapper and the member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Dennis Coles or Ghostface Killah, was raised in the Stapleton Housing Projects in Staten Island, New York. Wu-Tang Clan rose to fame and earned popularity during 1990s, and after that all the members of the group were allowed to go on as solo acts.

Ghostface Killah made his debut as a member of Wu-Tang Clan, when they released their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

The album was a commercial success and received critical acclaim in 1993, the year it was released. Ghostface helped bring all the seven members of the group and also served as an executive producer for the groups releases.

Ghostface Killah also featured on almost all the songs of Raekwons debut album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx? that was released in 1995.

The following year Ghostface released his debut solo LP titled Ironman, from which some of the songs wee featured as the soundtracks of the movies Dont Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood and Sunset Park.

The album debut at #2 spot and this was its peak position as well on Billboard 200. The same year Ghostface was also diagnosed with diabetes, something that would become the cause of the downfall of his health later on.

Ironman was followed by his second solo studio album Supreme Clientele, released in 2000. The first single of the album was Cherchez LaGhost, which became a minor hit and was followed by the second single from the album titled Childs Play.

The following year, Ghostface Killah drifted more towards R&B genre as he released the follow up to Supreme Clientele, Bulletproof Wallets. His single from the album titled Flowers featured Method Man and Raekwon, and also proved out to be a minor hit.

He dropped Killah from his stage name and signed as Ghost with Def Jam Records in 2003. He released his debut album from Def Jam Records the following year entitled The Pretty Toney Album.

For this album Ghost collaborated with Jacki-O, Missy Elliot and D-Block and two of the songs were produce by RZA. He also collaborated with Jadakiss on his song Run. Although the album was featured as the Best of The Year on several music charts, still it made mild success.

Ghost also collaborated on an UK R&B hit On My Knees by the group called The 411 from their album 718. Ghostface and The Theodore Unit also collaborated on Trife Da Gods joint project Put It on the Line, which was released in November 2005.

The following year, Ghostface also collaborated with MF DOOM on an album titled Swift & Changeable that is yet to be released. Ghostface made a strong come back with his album Fishscale that came out in 2006.

The album debuted at #4 spot which was also its peak position on US Billboard 200, while on R&B charts the album peaked at #2 spot. It was the first album by Ghostface since his debut album and heyday of Wu-Tang Clan, which received positive reviews following its release.
