Hannover 96
Founded in the 1890's, Hannover 96 happens to be a German football club residing in the city of Hanover, Germany. Even though Hannover 96 is known for its interest in football, how ever it was not the case when the club had taken pace. Initially, the Hannover 96 had interest in athletics and rugby.

Football came in after wards and became primary interest for the HFC. Hannover 96 merged with two strong clubs which eventually combined together to be known as Hannoverscher Sportverein.

The Hannoverscher FC's colors were black-white-green, whereas they played in blue for reasons unknown. The club made regular appearances in the national playoffs through the early 1900s, but were unable to progress, and planting the seeds of a rivalry that has survived till date.

HSV continued to field strong sides and make national level appearances in the mid 90's. HV appeared in the country's final round of the 90's and due to their hard earned victory, they sent representatives to play the national side next year.

They won their first national championship side the following year, which was a historical moment for the Germans as the HFC had defeated the most dominant and strong team of Germany. Their victory won them recognition and a place in the world of football.

Like most other German organizations, the club was dissolved after World War II by occupying Allied authorities. A variety of players from two varied teams played their first post war match and were said to have made achievement then onwards.

The club resumed its league play in the year 1947 but was demoted, however, due to its efforts returned back to the top flight. This scenario took place two years after its struggle. The mid 90's was very lucky for Germany as its new professional football league began there play with nation's top teams.

The Hannover 96 earned a promotion the following year as the club's approach forward was well received as they had set a league attendance record, which recorded an average 46,000 spectators per game.

Playing at the top level was not an easy task for them as they faced failure one after the other, but with the slow and steady approach, bounced back into the game.

Though it was not an easy task for the team as they didn't just lose the match but also lost their fans club and were beginning to become a laughing stock whenever they were discussed by the spectators or by their fans.

In the start the club not just suffered defeat on the grounds, but with that the club also went through financial crisis. Come rain come shine, there was absolutely no stopping for the Hannover 96 as they made an impressive come back which also provided them with financial relief.

Hannover made a fresh start with a new team of enthusiastic and determined youngsters, many of whom went on to play for the national team.

Since their promotion, the club have consolidated in the top flight, achieving a string of mid-table finishes under the command of several managers, who by their wit and intelligence would come up with a winning strategy every time.

Hamburger SV is seen as a friendly club whose supporters share the similar opinion. Both clubs are often referred to as HSV as they joined hands together in their mission to win the match.
