The group toured in 2008 along with the other bands like, You Am I, Yeasayer, MGMT and The Black Key. The band won multiple nominations for ARIA Music Awards in 2010 in the categories of 'Breakthrough Artist', ‘Best Rock Album', 'Best Group' and 'Album of the Year'. 2011 was the year when the band took home a number of awards such as the ‘Most Popular Act’, ‘Best Rock Act’ and ‘Most Popular Live Act’ as well as individual honors like the ‘Best Guitarist Award’.
Tame Impala came up with another album Lonerism in 2012 and it was received well by critics. The group has collaborated with several other artists on many projects.
