Turn Off The Dark is a phenomenal rock musical, based upon one of the most popular comic book and action movie superheroes, Spiderman. Known fully as Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, its lyrics and music are by Bono, of U2 fame, and The Edge. It is based on a book written by Glen Berger, Julie Taymor and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Carpio, Uncle Ben by Ken Marks and Aunt May by Isabel Keating. The role of Spider-Man was also played by Mathew James Thomas and Jake Epstein.
Two productions of Turn Off The Dark are set to take place in Hamburg, Germany and London, UK. The musical has come a long way, from when it was proposed by Marvel in 2002 to to day. The musical has appeared on Good Morning America, with some of its songs performed live, and on American Idol Season 10 where Bono, The Edge and Carney performed one of the musical's songs.
