Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan was formed in Mexico back in the year 1987. The man behind this folk ensemble goes by the name of Gaspar Vargas and he is considered to be the father of this legendary group of musicians. The ensemble hails from the city of Tecalitlan in the state of Jalisco. Over the course of the group's long history, they have experimented with a number of different musical genres which include Ranchero music, Polka music and Jarabe music but they are best known for their works in Mariachi music.
