The CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners is the name used by the varsity teams that make up the athletics program of the Cal State Bakersfield University. These teams are members of the Western Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division I except for the water polo, wrestling, baseball and outdoor track & field teams. The current athletics director is Jeff Konya and the university itself is located in Bakersfield, California. It is home to seventeen varsity teams, seven of the men's and ten of them women's. The men's basketball teams have won three National Championships whereas the men's swimming and diving team has won thirteen National Championships. The men's soccer team has won one National Championship whereas the women's softball team has won three National Championships. The women's tennis team has also won one National Championship.
