St Johns Tickets

St Johns is the St John's University's athletics program, located in New York City. This is a program home to seventeen varsity teams and is led by Chris Monasch, the athletics director. It is a member of Division I in the NCAA, and calls the Big East Conference home. Its basketball teams play at the Madison Square Garden and the Carnesecca Arena, with the baseball teams play at the Jack Kaiser Stadium. Johnny Thunderbirds is the official mascot of the St Johns Red Storm, with those who buy St Johns tickets often seeing him cheering on the team.
 
All of the St Johns Red Storm varsity teams are part of the Big East Conference, except for the fencing team which calls the ECAC home. The men's teams compete in sports such as basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, baseball, lacrosse, and fencing whereas the women's teams compete in basketball, tennis, volleyball, track and field, soccer, cross country, softball, fencing and golf. St Johns was formerly known as the Redmen, changing to Red Storm in 1995, as well as adopting a new mascot.
 
The St Johns men's basketball team has the seventh Most Wins in the History of College Basketball, at sixteen hundred and eighty six. It also has one of the Most NCAA Appearances, ranked number seven with twenty seven appearences, and has won a number of titles, awards and honors. This includes two Wooden Award winners, National Player of the Year, six inductees into the College Basketball Hall of Fame, eleven All-Americans and fifty nine of its players going to play for pro basketball franchises in the NBA.
 
The St Johns men's basketball team also has the second best winning percentage of all the schools located in New York City. It also has the most appearances in the National Invitational Tournament. It has won six NIT Championships and one Helms Athletic Foundation Championship. In 2008, the team turned one hundred, celebrating over a century of college basketball. It is regularly voted as one amongst the top basketball teams in the ESPN Coaches Poll and by the AP.
 
The St Johns soccer team has won one NCAA Soccer Championship and played four times in the NCAA College Cup, the last three of which were in 2001, 2003 and 2008. It has played in sixteen plus NCAA Post-season Tournaments, of which fifteen were consecutive appearances from 1992 to 2006. It has also made it ten times consecutively to the NCAA Tournament Rounds of Sixteen, achieved from 1996 to 2005. The men's soccer team has also won seven six Big East Regular Season titles, Big East Tournament championships, and made it to eighteen Big East tournaments consecutively. In 2006, the team also made history by being the first in the US to be invited to play in Vietnam.
 
The baseball team has won six Big East Championships, appeared twenty six times in the NCAA National Tournament and made it to six College World Series. Seventy of its players have gone on to play professionally, in the MLB and others. The fencing program has seen two of its fencers participate in the Olympics and has won the NCAA Fencing Championship. It has been ranked fifth in the US for ten years, and finished second in the NCAA; truly a program to catch live via St Johns tickets.
