College sports are held each year and feature some of the most talented young athletes in the US, many of whom eventually go on to play in the professional leagues. These players are part of universities, which field several varsity teams as part of their athletics program. The Oregon State University is a member of the Pacific-12 Conference in the larger NCAA Division I FBS. The Vikings are part of the Big Sky Conference in the NCAA Division I, with fourteen varsity teams playing men's and women's sports at the Providence Park and Stott Center. The university has won National NCAA Championships in wrestling and in women's volleyball. Its football team has also emerged second two times in the US, with the women's basketball team also achieving the same position once. Players such as Neil Lomax and Freeman Williams have set records in the NCAA and have played for the likes of the NFL's St Louis Cardinals.
