Barry Manilow belongs to the famous city of Brooklyn New York and he was born in this city in the year 1943 as Barry Alan Pincus. Barry's success continued with the release of another album Tryin' to Get the Feeling that landed at #5 on Billboard, went 3x platinum in the US and gold in Canada. In the year 1978 and 79 he released two more albums, Even Now went 3x and One Voice went 2x platinum in the US. Even Now till date remains Manilow's highest Billboard charting album at #3. Out of twenty-nine studio albums twelve went platinum and eight went gold.

Barry Manilow won a Special Tony Award in 1977 for his show Barry Manilow on Broadway, two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Special Performance, three American Music Awards for Best Pop/Rock Male Artist and a Grammy Copacabana for Best Pop Male Performance.
