Craig Morgan is a popular American artist of the country music genre. During his early days, the singer spent a difficult life doing various small jobs to make ends meet. From working as a security guard, a Wal-Mart employee to a construction worker, Craig did it all, until he landed into the US army. He served his duties as a soldier for a considerable period of time until he opted out for a career in music. Having led a rich and productive journey, Craig's music is a reflection of his experiences and how they have shaped him to treasure and value the very small and basic things of life. Besides a successful singer Craig is also a well known songwriter and TV personality. Craig Morgan tickets are getting sold by the minute as the singer lands in the city of Wheeling for a live music show.
Atlantic Records launched Craig's musical debut with his self-titled album in the year 2000. It consisted of three singles, the most prominent being 'Something to write home about'. Towards the end of the year Craig released a Christmas song called 'The kid in me' which was a huge hit.
When Atlantic Records closed their Nashville branch Craig joined Broken Bow Records who released his second record 'I love it' in 2002. The lyrics were written by Craig himself along with Kerry Kurt Philips. The lead single of the album 'God, Family and Country' was a dedication by the singer to his former Nashville drummer Randy Hardison. This was followed by 'Almost Home', the singer's first song to make it amongst the top ten of country music charts. It also won him the Song of the Year award by Broadcast Music Incorporated. The record's next singles 'Look at us' and 'Every Friday afternoon' stood amongst the top 30 on the country charts. By 2004, the album had sold over three hundred thousand copies, an unprecedented success recorded by an independent country music artist.
Morgan's third album was released by the name of 'My kind of living' in 2004. It consisted of a total of eight tracks with few guest vocals provided by Brad Paisley and John Conlee. The first song of the album 'That's what I love about Sunday' topped the country music countdown. It was the first chart topper for both Craig as well as the Broken Bow Records label. The next single 'Redneck Yacht Club' also reached the second position on the charts. It was followed by 'I got you', a song which Morgan had originally composed keeping in mind the vocals of Keith Urban. However, after a demo trial he decided to record it himself. With five hundred thousand downloads, it received a Gold certification.
His last record with Broken Bow label was titled 'Little bit of Life' and it was released in 2006. The album's three most popular numbers include the short title track, 'International Harvester' and 'Tough' which peaked on the country charts on number seven, ten and eleven respectively. The album reflected a sense of patriotism and traditionalism on the part of the singer and received positive reviews for the same.
In 2008, the country artist joined forces with BNA Records to release his album 'That's Why'. The record was however reissued in 2009. In this album Morgan was praised for his keen observations and the simplicity that his songs professed. His voice was also compared by some to that of Randy Travis.
Craig released his latest album with his fourth and current record label, Black River Entertainment. The title of the record is 'The Ole Boy'. Like his previous musical contributions, the record embodies and reflects a strong affection for tradition values.
What sets his music apart from the contemporary singers of the genre is his strong understanding and regard for family values and nationalism. Being a devoted family member and soldier, his feelings translate into his music in the most perfect manner. And what makes it even more appealing is its simplicity of words. His songs are easy to sing and understand and hence cater to a diverse audience. So get your Craig Morgan tickets and enjoy your evening with one of the leading country singers of today.
