Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra tickets provide the chance to experience an outstanding live musical performance. The prestigious academy is ranked among the top musical institutes in the US. The center was established in 1940 in Lenox, Massachusetts. It was found by the then music director of Boston Symphony Orchestra, Serge Koussevitzky. After him several noted music directors have served in the position. These include the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winning musician Leonard Bernstein.

These include sessions on vocal, orchestra, opera, chamber and much more. The training sessions of the center are held every year in summer. These include lectures, workshops and classes. World renowned Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) also collaborates with the center for its program. Not only does the center provide training but it also holds several performances showcasing the talent of the upcoming musicians. These performances are held in collaboration with the skilled artists of artists of BSO. Additionally musicians make guest appearances at the shows. Grammy Award winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma has performed with the ensemble in the past. The world renowned master trumpeter Rolf Smedvig has also taken to stage at Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra show. Other artists who have performed at the shows include Stefan Asbury, Emanuel Ax, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Alexander Prior.
The center is ideally situated in over two hundred acre open space. It comprises of various buildings which hold performances. These include the Koussevitzky Music Shed which holds most of the Boston Symphony Orchestra performances as well as a few orchestra concerts. A newer addition to the center, Seiji Ozawa Hall holds most of the orchestra performances. The outstanding venue is ranked among the top five concert facilities in the US.
Performances at the venue attract a large number of audiences. Other than audiences the shows also attract artists from all over the globe. International musicians who have performed with the ensemble include Andris Nelsons, Ryan Wigglesworth, Oliver Knussen, Kurt Masur, Nicolas Hodges, Fred Sherry, Christoph von Dohnányi and many more.
Performances at the center have earned the reputation for being highly entertaining and of high standing. Past performances by the ensemble include the works of Shostakovich, Beethoven, Henri Dutilleux, Sergei Prokofiev, Maurice Ravel, Tchaikovsky and many more.
