Squeeze Tickets are much in demand by their followers who love the combination of rock and pop which is a benchmark of the music produced by this band. They came into prominence with their success in the seventies as a new wave band. Squeeze is a sound that comprises of a mix of guitar pop and post punk and are under the infuce of legendary bands Kinks and the Beatles. Since they came to mainstream music they have continued to impress and entertain their fans with their musical talent and flair. Squeeze has a strong following in the United Kingdom based on their timeless classics like Hourglass, Cool for Cats, Black Coffee In Bed, Tempted, ‘Up the Junction and Labelled With Love. In the United States, they are best known and remembered for their hits like Tempted’, Hourglass and 853-5937’.

Squeeze was formed in 1974 in Deptford, London, United Kingdom with Chris Difford, Jools Holland, Glenn Tilbrook and Paul Gunn as founding members. They initially called themselves Captain Trundlow's Sky Company before changing it to Squeeze, being inspired by The Velvet Underground's album with the same name. They began by performing in the booming pub rock circuit in London. Their first EP was Packet of Three released by the Deptford Fun City label in 1977. They then signed up with A&M records for the album titled Squeeze in 1978, which was also released in the US and Australia. Major success followed the following year with their next album Cool for Cats with the singles Up The Junction and Cool For Cats both reaching number two on charts.

Squeeze’s claim to fame became their 1980 album Argybargy which became a major hit in the United Kingdom. The singles featured on the album remains their most critically acclaimed effort of Squeeze to date. They include Another Nail In My Heart, Pulling Mussels (From the Shell),  and If I Didn't Love You. To the band’s surprise the album was going strong as an international scene. It became quite a rave on the new wave scene in the US. It was band’s first album to make it to the charts in the US, reaching number seventy one. After the release of their most well known album East Side Story in 1981 followed by the LP Sweets from Strangers the band broke up in 1982.

Some members continued to work together and composed a musical Labelled With Love, which was based on the band’s songs and was staged in 1983. In 1985 the band got together to perform for a charity program and thereafter decided to reunite. The first result of the reincarnation of Squeeze was the LP Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti. Next came the album Babylon And On in 1987 with mega hits Hourglass and 853-5937 both becoming Top 40 hits in the US. The band’s next album Frank proved to be a bit disappointing but Play, released in 1991, re-established the band’s credentials. Over the next few years, Squeeze gave a number of hit singles with Third Rail, This Summer, Electric Trains and Heaven Knows; all making it to the UK charts. After the release of the album Domino in 1998, and a very successful tour, the band broke up again in 1999.

For the next six years, Difford and Tilbrook continued to perform solo with reasonable success, occasionally coming together for various gigs. They also collaborated for the book by Squeeze: Song by Song by Jim Drury published in 2004. They decided to recreate Squeeze in 2007 for a series of shows in the UK and a US tour. Later that year they released Five Live: On Tour in America. In 2010 Squeeze was awarded the Heritage Award for music by PRS. Squeeze toured the US and UK in 2010 which was accompanied by the album Spot The Difference, which contained some of their all time biggest hits. In April, 2012, a twenty track CD of live recordings Live At The Fillmore was released.

Squeeze is currently made up of Glenn Tilbrook, Chris Difford, John Bentley, Simon Hanson and Stephen Large and the all through 2011 they continued to mesmerize and entertain their fans.
