Both appeared on several of Watts' mixtapes, and were later became permanent members of Swishahouse. Fellow member Slim Thug left Watts Company which led Chamillionaire and Paul Wall to start their own group, The Color Changin' Click. The group released several mixtapes, leading to more business opportunities. They got a chance to sign a contract to do a full album for Paid in Full Records.
Paul Wall and Chamillionaire were originally signed to Swishahouse Records, but left for Paid in Full Records. The two together released several mixtapes and independent releases including Get Ya Mind Correct. Later, both parted their ways, citing creative differences.

During an interview on MTV News, rapper and DJ Paul Wall said, I've been getting into the studio every chance I get, working with Swishahouse head honcho T. Farris and Houston producer Mr. Lee. I got a real hot track Bangin Screw from up and coming producers Bizness and Aaddict when I was in L.A. And like the title says, the album is all about getting money and fame, but also about staying true to where I came up, Wall said.
I've dealt with so many things I never had to deal with before: the success I've attained in the past year has been phenomenal, but I still want to remain Paul Wall. So we're not changing the script too much. The focus is still the same: the cars, the clothes, the ho's, the screw music.
Walls second full-length album Get Money, Stay True peaked at number 1 spot on the Billboard Chart Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. His singles Break 'Em Off featured Lil Keke and I'm Throwed featured and produced by Jermaine Dupri. The album mainly reflected on the materialistic side of Paul Wall, in contrast to The People's Champ which reflected mainly on Paul Wall's personal life.
