Ozzy Osbourne
John Michael better known as Ozzy" Osbourne is the lead vocalist of the ground-breaking heavy metal band Black Sabbath, his solo band, not to mention, the celebrity of the reality show, The Osbournes. Apart from lead vocals with Black Sabbath, Osbourne also plays the harmonica and synthesizer.

Osbourne was born on December 3, 1948 in Birmingham, England in a wretched poor family of six children. Osbourne seemingly suffered from learning disabilities thought to be dyslexia, making school life difficult. Then, eventually he took up music as a escape, becoming the singer of a local band, Earth.

Later on Ozzy Osbourne joined with former class mate, namely Tony Iommi and audition for lead singer. Iommi did not like Ozzy's voice after hearing it in school musicals, and was unwilling to let him join. Nonetheless, as Ozzy was liked by the other two members, Iommi was finally convinced to make him part of the band.

In 1979, Osbourne was ablazed from Black Sabbath largely for untrustworthiness owing to drug abuse. He was substituted by previous Rainbow singer Ronnie James Dio. After getting a divorce from his first wife Thelma and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder further increased the singer's problems ultimately, made him suffer from a deep depression. Osbourne became a loner and preferred spending weeks alone locked in his hotel room.

On a job to gather an overdue fee, Sharon Arden - Black Sabbath manager Don Arden's daughter, discovered Osbourne menacing in his room and persuaded him to restart his life.

In the late 1970s, the band Necromandus rehearsed with Ozzy Osbourne and temporarily became the first incarnation of his Blizzard of Ozz solo project. The Ozzy Osbourne Band began life as The Blizzard of Ozz. The first line-up of the band had drummer Lee Kerslake (of Uriah Heep), bassist/lyricist Bob Daisley (of Rainbow, and guitarist Randy Rhoads (of Quiet Riot). The first album was to be titled eponymously, but was afterwards altered to Blizzard of Ozz featuring Ozzy Osbourne. The record company in due course title the record Ozzy Osbourne, with the album simply interpreted Blizzard of Ozz. After this, the band's name was cut down to The Ozzy Osbourne Band. On the other hand, Kerslake and Bob Daisley, still refer to that era as the "Blizzard of Ozz". mainly written by Daisley and Rhoads, Ozzy attained significant success on his first solo effort, the debut collection selling well with heavy metal fans.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Osbourne's career was an effort on two facades; continuing to make music without Rhoads, and becoming abstemious. The 1981 concerts were recorded with a live album in mind. Labeled as ?Speak of the Devil' and in the United Kingdom as ?Talk of the Devil', it was initially planned to include live recordings from 1981, chiefly from Osbourne's solo work. After hearing the news about Black Sabbath's new live album titled "Live Evil" conversely, Osbourne and Sharon decided to anticipate his former band's efforts, and the album ended up consisting exclusively of Black Sabbath cover material, recorded with Gillis, bassist Rudy Sarzo, and drummer Tommy Aldridge. In the same Guitar Player interview where Brad Gillis conferred how he came to play for Ozzy, he talked about the live album, and disclosed that everyone in the band wanted to revise some parts, but were not given the chance. Speak of the Devil was musically left alone. Ozzy, in the meanwhile, commented inside the cover of "Tribute", "I don't give a fuck about that album. It was just a bunch of bullshit Sabbath covers." He also affirms that it was the recording company that wanted a new album, and that he was reluctant to release the tapes of performances live with Rhoads, thinking this would disgrace his memory.

Throughout the 1980s, while very flourishing as a heavy metal act, Osbourne continued to attain commercial success into the 1990s, starting with 1991's No More Tears, which enjoyed much radio and MTV exposure. It also commenced a practice of bringing in outside composers to help pen Osbourne's solo material, as an alternative of relying exclusively upon his recording group to write and arrange the music. The album was mixed by veteran rock producer Michael Wagener, who also mixed the Live and Loud album which followed in 1993. It went platinum numerous times over, and ranked at number 10 on that year's Billboard rock charts. At the present Osbourne expressed his weariness with the process of touring, and announced his "retirement", which was ephemeral. Osbourne's entire CD catalogue was remastered and re-issued in 1995. In addition to that same year, he released Ozzmosis and went on stage again, dubbing his concert performances "The Retirement Sucks Tour". A greatest hits package, The Ozzman Cometh was issued in 1997.

Osbourne has been married twice and is the father of seven children including five biologically, and two adopted. He was first married to Thelma Riley and adopted her son Elliot Kingsley (1966); mutually they had Jessica Starshine Osbourne Hobbs (20 January 1972) and Louis John Osbourne (1975).

Later on Ozze married Sharon Arden and had three children with her. They are Aimee Osbourne (2 September 1983), Kelly Osbourne (27 October 1984) and Jack Osbourne (8 November 1985). They also adopted Robert Marcato after his mother died. Osbourne also has two grandchildren, Isabelle and Harry from his daughter Jessica. He wrote a song for his daughter, Aimee, which appeared as a b-side on the album Ozzmosis.

Ozzy Osbourne was caught under a heated and contentious concert and stage acts that some parental-teacher associations, media content watchdog activist groups, in addition to this, many Christian groups blamed Osbourne of being a "negative" influence for teenagers. They argued that messages on his songs, actions (the infamous "horned hand") and stage decorations are depictions of "devil worship" and overestimated Satanism, but Osbourne rejects these allegations and asserts that it was done in good fun, represented teenage insurgence and for shock value. In fact Ozzy showed a peace sign with each hand; Ronnie James Dio was the one who was recognized for flashing "Satanic" signs.

Ozzy Osbourne once again reveals his rescheduled UK and European tour dates.  Due to health issues, the singer had to postpone the No More Tours 2 Tour twice. The rock icon is now recovering and ready to hit the road. Osbourne is touring to support his upcoming album Ordinary Man, follow-up to his first solo record since 2010's Scream. Ordinary Man drops in January 2020. It features contributions by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith  and Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan First single, "Under the Graveyard" from the album has already been released to give a taste to fans of what to expect. Judas Priest remains the support act for the trek.  The tour kicks off in early October.  Join the Prince of Darkness with Ozzy Osbourne tickets and watch him put his heart and soul into every performance.
