Nonpoint is an American heavy metal group that first came to prominence in nineties in South Florida's budding metal scene. Their current lineup comprises of Elias Soriano as lead vocalist, Robb Rivers as drummer, Adam Woloszyn ass bassist and Rasheed Thomas and Dave Lizzio as guitarists. Since 1998 the band has released several studio albums including Miracle, Vengeance, To the Pain, Recoil, Development, and Statement, all of which made it on US Billboard charts, while the former three took top positions on Indie charts. In 2006, they released their first live album called Live and Kicking which climbed to the twenty-third position in US indie charts. Some of the band's most popular singles include What a Day, Your Signs, The Truth, Bullet with a Name, Alive and Kicking, March of War, Miracle, In The Air Tonight and Frontline.
The quintet of music maestros has established quite a reputation for giving high profile live performances such as those of 2010 when they played at Metal Hammer, DownloadFestival and a concert alongside HELLYEAH played King's College in the United Kingdom. They group has undertaken tours with the likes of Florida's Cold, Jacksonville, and Drowning Pool and have appeared at famous festivals such as Summerfest and Rock on the Range. it is no surprise that Nonpoint tickets are such so wildly sought after by hard rock fans.
Nonpoint was founded by drummer Rob Rivera, bassist Kenneth MacMillan, vocalist Elias Soriano and guitarist Andrew Goldman in early 1997. The group emerged on the popular metal front of South Florida by the mid nineties and released their independent debut album titled SeparateYourself the following year. Their first album to be released on a commercial scale was called Struggle and came out in 1999. During 2000 and 2002, the group issued their major debut album Statement on MCA Records. Nonpoint then undertook a rigorous touring schedule to promote the album as well as to gain national recognition, with already well-known such as Drowning Pool, Taproot, Fuel, Mudvayne, and Hed PE. Their most significant tour at the time was marked by their appearance on 2001's Ozzfest tour on its round of the United States. After a year of the album's release, it was spotted on Billboard 200 charts own which it reached the hundred and sixty-sixth spot. The album produced the hit single What a Day which climbed up to the twenty-fourth place on MainstreamRock charts.
Nonpoint released their second studio offering titled Development in 2002, which appeared on number fifty-two on Billboard charts and the album's first single YourSigns peaked at number thirty-six on MainstreamRock charts. The group then played for the second time at Ozzfest while it was on its European tour of the Donington Park leg. Their other tours included performances with metal band Sevendust on the Locobazooka tour, Filter, Papa Roach and Sunset Black. This was followed by the release of their second single called Cirlces which was featured in 2003's NASCAR Thunder and was also chosen as the sound track to Hot Wheels AcceleRacers.
In 2004, Nonpoint released Recoil, their third studio album on Lava Records. The offering appeared in Billboard charts on the hundred and fifteenth place, while its first single called TheTruth reached number twenty-two on MainstreamRock charts. This was followed by the release of the album's second single titled Rabia. For the promotion of this third album the band toured with other rock acts included Candiria, Dry kill Logic, Skindred and Sevendust. In 2005, the band released another album called TothePain which was spotted on Billboard charts on the hundredth and forty-seventh place and sold about nine thousand copies in the initial week of release. The album spawned the single titled BulletWith aName that reached the twenty-second spot on Mainstream Rock charts and was featured in the 2007 movie TheCondemned.
The group released four more album between 2006 and 2010 called Live andKicking, Vengeance, Cut the Cord and Miracle, of which the latter most has topped the hard rock charts on Amazon and taken fourth position on iTunes rock charts. The band's popularity is only soaring with every album, which leaves their following on a very promising note and in anticipation of what the next studio offering will bring.
