Nile Rogers is a successful composer, guitarist, arranger, musician and producer. He is considered as one of the most influential music producers of our times. Rogers started his music career when he was a teenager. He used to tour with the Sesame Street band as a session guitarist. Along the way, he has had the opportunity to work with legendary R&B artists such as Maxine Brown, Ben E. King, Earl Lewis, Aretha Franklin and more.

In the seventies, Nile formed "The Big Apple Band" with bassist Bernard Edwards. The hit single I'm Doing Fine Now produced by the band led them on an extensive touring spree where they got the opportunity to open for "The Jackson 5." In 1977, the band was renamed as "CHIC" because another band of the same name surfaced.

The repertoire of chart topping singles produced by CHIC includes Everybody Dance, My Forbidden Lover, Le Freak, Good Times, I Want Your Love and Dance, Dance, Dance amongst others.  Over the years, CHIC has been nominated six times for induction in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Rogers has also served as a curator for the 2012 "Montreux Jazz Festival". He created the "Freak Out! Montreux Dance Party" to celebrate dance music's evolution. In 2013, the brilliant artist was rewarded with Winter Music Conference's "Lifetime Achievement Award" (2012) at the twenty eighth "Annual Dance Music Award" ceremony.
