Mura Masa is a young electronic music producer who has gained significant attention since his debut in 2017. He won a Grammy Award this year for 'Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical' for his remix version of the HAIM song, Walking Away.

Rise to Fame

Alex Crossan or more popularly known by his alias Mura Masa got into the electronic music scene during his teenage years and soon produced a track, Lotus Eater which he uploaded on Soundcloud. The song became a hit with Phil Taggart, Huw Stephens, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe all playing it on their respective shows on BBC Radio 1. He then put out his first mixtape, 'Soundtrack to a Death' in 2014 before issuing his debut EP, 'Someday Somewhere' a year later. The extended play contained a single, Firefly which was chosen for the, 'In New Music We Trust' playlist at BBC Radio 1.

Music Albums

In 2016, Mura Masa announced that he is working on his debut studio album which got the fans excited. The following year, his self-titled effort reached the markets and earned him a Grammy nomination for, 'Best Dance/Electronic Album.' It also featured a single, Love$ick which recorded gold level sales in the United States. He is now ready to drop his second album, 'R.Y.C. (Raw Youth Collage)' in 2020.
