The bands highly anticipated album Murda Muzik was debuted at number 3 on Billboard charts and was certified Platinum.
In 2001, Mobb Deep released Infamy which marked a major change in style of the band with moving towards raw, stripped down and minimalist beat. In 2005, the duo signed a contract deal with 50-cent's G-unit records and released their eighth album in 2006, titled as Blood Money. The album featured many G-Unit members including 50 cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo. Same year they performed in India and were the first American hip-hop band to perform there.
In 2011, the group released an extended play named as Black Cocaine. The group is currently recording their ninth album with collaboration with many great hip-hop artists like Rick Ross, Odd Future, Nass and others.
