Fate Brings Together Three Talented Artists

Hailing from California, Midland was formed back in 2016. The three member line-up includes Cameron Duddy, Jess Carson, and Mark Wystrach. Prior to making music for his own band, Duddy used to work as a music video director in Los Angeles. He did play music in his free time, but had not pursued it as a full-time profession. Eventually, he met an Oregon native, Jess Carson, with whom he started playing music. After Carson left Los Angeles, Duddy met Mark Wystrach, who at that time was employed as an actor and model. In 2013, all three came together and began performing as a band.

Signing to Big Machine And Making New Music

In 2016, Midland landed a deal with Big Machine, and came out with their debut EP. The EP produced the record-smashing single, 'Drinkin' Problem,' which made its way to Billboard's Country Charts in 2017. Midland then released their debut album, On the Rocks, in 2017. In order to promote their new album, they joined Thomas Rhett and Little Big Town on tour the next year. The album ruled the charts throughout 2018, and generated hit tracks such as 'Burn Out' and 'Make a Little.' By the end of 2018, 'Drinkin' Problem' had received Grammy nominations for the Best Country Duo/Group Performance and the Best Country Song. In 2019, the band released their critically acclaimed mega-hit album, Let It Roll, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album Charts.
