Dakota Valley Symphony Orchestra has organized this amazing event. This 60 member orchestra has been entertaining the fans for over two decades now. it was founded in the year 1986 as DVCOA (Dakota Valley Civic Orchestral Association). Apart from opera performances the orchestra also performs at various other venues across the state such as parks, schools and churches. The orchestra has performed in areas like Lakeville, Eagan and Apple Valley. It has also performed at popular events like Stillwater's Lumberjack Days and Mill City Music Festival. The orchestra also has a Summer Pops orchestra and chorus consisting of 90 members and a 40 member mixed chorus. Giuseppe Verdi was an Italian composer from the romantic era. His works have become a major source of influence for a number of modern day artists and musicians. While in his early 20's he has the privilege to learn music composition from the Italian master composer Clara Maffei. Verdi works include Un giorno de di regno, I Lombardi alla prima crociata, Emani, Giovanna d'Arco Alzira, Attila, La battaglia di Legnano and Macbeth. Edvard Grieg was a Norwegian pianist and msuci composer. While he was just six years old his mother taught him how t play the piano. He got his music education from the Leipzig Music Conservatory. His first piano performance was in 1862 and he played the Beethoven's famous sonata called Pathetique. Some of his famous works are Incidental Music to Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt, Ballade in the Form of Variations, Cello Sonata in A Minor, Peer Gynt and Suite from Sigurd Jorsalfar.
