For all the metal-heads out there, things couldn't get any better with Exodus hitting the road just after their tenth studio album comes out. Exodus recently announced that the group will be touring as special guest performers across North America with fellow metal bands, Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies. Cited as the forefathers of thrash metal genre, Exodus was originally formed back in 1980 and since then the group has grown to become one of the most inspirational acts of the genre. The upcoming tour will hit different North American venues all through the winter season. With three of the biggest thrash metal giants joining hands for this tour, it is said to be one of the most anticipated events for the fans of thrash metal. Scheduled for a limited run, the tour has been garnering overwhelming response from the fans, which is why Exodus tickets might sell out fast. Exodus has also announced VIP packages for the fans for their upcoming touring dates.

Exodus emerged as a part of Bay Area metal music scene and soon became a dominant force. Formed in 1980, the group gained massive popularity due to its adrenaline filled live performances and true musicianship. The group introduced thrash metal music to worldwide audience. Exodus made its studio debut with the release of Bonded By Blood back in 1985, which was then followed by extensive touring along with Venom and Slayer.

In 1987, Exodus released its next album Pleasures of the Flesh which was then followed by group's breakthrough hit album Fabulous Disaster later in 1989. Fabulous Disaster became a turning point for the group and it finally landed its first major label record deal with Capitol. In 1990 and 1992, Exodus released Impact is Imminent and Force of Habit with Capitol. Amidst of all that, Exodus kept on growing its fan base with sturdy touring along with the acts like Suicidal Tendencies, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax Motorhead. Following that, grunge music scene struck several thrash metal bands including Exodus, which led to Exodus' long hiatus that lasted from 1993 to 1997. A short-lived reunion of the group was seen from 1997 to 1998, during which Exodus toured across North America and Europe and also released a live album.

In 2001, the one-night benefit concert titled Thrash of the Titans paved way for the comeback of Exodus and several other thrash metal bands from Bay Area. In the concert Exodus performed alongside Heathen, Anthrax, Death Angel, Vio-lence and Legacy. The event led to the reunion of Exodus and the group started writing new music. After years of effort, Exodus finally reconvened with its comeback studio album called Tempo of the Damned that was released in 2004. Exodus's comeback album created quite a stir and even landed in various Best of 2004 lists. However, with the loss of three classic group members, future seemed bleak for Exodus yet again.

After making several key replacements in the group's lineup, Exodus once again got back on its feet that resulted in the release of Shovel Headed Kill Machine in 2005. The album was produced by Gary Holt and saw Exodus going back to the roots of thrash metal genre. With this, Exodus received positive critical response and was also lauded by the fans of the genre. In 2007 and 2010, Exodus redefined the thrash metal genre with albums such as The Atrocity Exhibition. Exhibit A and Exhibit B: The Human Condition. Both of the albums were well received, and stamped Exodus' status as one of the staples of thrash metal genre. Exodus's tenth studio album is also in the pipeline and it will be titled Blood In, Blood Out.

After its reunion in 2001, Exodus has been extensively touring across the world with its fellow thrash metal acts.
