During his time at the University of London he started taking odd MCing jobs to earn some extra cash, which proved to be valuable exposure for the artist. After graduating with a degree in film directing, he took on various jobs in the field before taking up music full time.

Example met Joseph Gardner, also known as Rusher, who gave him the chance of recording a concept album from which a song "A Pointless Song" was released as his first single. The song was met with much admiration and since then Example has never had a reason to look back. The artist is very successful in his field and has been climbing the charts rapidly. After releasing four albums Example is all set to release his fifth album in 2014.
