As for its performance on the charts, "+" charted and peaked on the UK Albums Chart at #1 spot and sold well over 102,000 in the first week of its sales. With more than 791,000 copies of the album sold, "+" earned the rank of second bestselling album of the year 2011. After sometime, the album dropped a couple of spots on the UK Albums Chart but regained its position once again at the #1 spot on January 1, 2012. Since its release, the album has sold around 1,021,072 copies in UK only as of March 2012. Outside United Kingdom, the album also made it to the top ten in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, and New Zealand.

Lego House was released at the third single from Sheeran's debut album, on November 11, 2011, and just like his previously released singles, Lego House also enjoyed significant amount of success and peaked at #5 spot on UK singles chart. Drunk followed in shortly as the album's fourth single and Sheeran's overall fourth charting single.
