The following album once again combined Damian and Nas, hence borrowing the name “Distant Relatives” due to the shared music and ancestral bond between the two artists. The album was release in 2010. Garnering positive reviews from the music circles, the album performed well on the charts. It topped the US reggae, R&B and rap charts and became the second top ten album of Damian.
During the course, Damian also collaborated with many other renowned musicians like Joss Stones, A.R. Rehman and Dave Stewart in a music project named “SuperHeavy” in 2011. The album with the same name was launched in September 2011 that turned out to be a moderate success, entering Billboard top 40.
He also teamed up with Skrillex and released “Make It Bun Them” in 2012 that became quite popular among Damian’s listeners. The song was also featured in the game called Far Cry 3 in the same year. An EP “Make It Bun Them After Hours” comprising of a number of remixes of the original song came out in August 2012 that featured many guest artists and DJs.
Damian has been going on national and international tours and has performed in a number of music concerts and festivals. Among these, his performances at the Peace Fest, Sonoma County Harmony Festival and Romantic Rhythms Music Festival are most famous. He has also contributed his music skills in a number of his brother, Stephan’s songs.
