Formed by Big Hit Entertainment, BTS has accomplished global fame and become the first Korean band to win two Billboard Music Awards. The band also received the Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea for their contributions in spreading Korean language and culture across the world.

Making their presence felt

It all started for BTS when they released their first Korean record, 'Dark & Wild' in August of 2014. The album peaked at the third spot on the Billboard World Albums chart and was supported by two singles, War of Hormone and Danger. In the same year, the guys issued their debut Japanese record 'Wake Up' which sold more than 28,000 copies in Japan.

The septet then took a couple of years off to record their next Korean and Japanese albums and soon released, 'Wings' and 'Youth' in 2016. The former earned them a Seoul Music Award.

Taking over the American market

BTS's popularity began to soar in American countries when they came out with their third studio record, 'Love Yourself: Tear.' This record elevated their career to new heights as it topped the charts in the United States and was placed at the thirteenth spot on the Rolling Stone's list of the '20 Best Pop Albums of 2018.'
