Developing her Passion for Music

Influenced by Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert, Ashland Craft started to develop an interest in music when she was a child. Her father who was a mechanic by profession helped realize her dream and did everything he could to support her passion. He  built a music studio for her daughter at the back of his garage. This served as a platform for the young Craft to polish her skills and eventually to accomplish her goals. This is something that she will always be grateful for as it played a huge role in developing her talent as a singer-songwriter.

Starting a House Band

As Ashland Craft grew older, her passion of becoming a successful country star intensified which led to her starting a house band while working at Wendell's Dippin Branch. She fronted the band and sang lead vocals. The group played a lot of gigs around her hometown of South Carolina and slowly began to achieve local popularity.

Auditioning for The Voice

Having the potential to become a country star, Ashland Craft decided to try her luck and auditioned on the second episode of The Voice on September 26, 2017. She performed the song, You Are My Sunshine by Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchell. Her cover of the song received a standing ovation from the audience and turned the chairs of Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton. All three of these judges were blown away by her performance and wanted her to join their team but she eventually chose to side with Cyrus.

During her time on the show, Ashland Craft covered many popular songs like A Good Hearted Woman, Wanted Dead or Alive, When I Think About Cheatin' and Delta Dawn. She was praised for her performances by Jennifer Hudson who told her that she is a star and Kelly Clarkson who predicted that Craft is going to be a force in country music. Unfortunately, her journey on The Voice came to end as she was eliminated from the show on December 05, 2017.

Her Journey Is Not Over     

Ashland Craft's journey is not over. In fact, it has only just begun! After getting eliminated from The Voice, she started her YouTube channel and began to post cover songs on her channel. Over the past few months, she has come out with four original songs They Always Do, Your Place Or Mine, When a Cowboy's Heart Breaks and Good Ol' Girls.
