One Direction further gave 5SOS a helping hand towards fame when they invited them over to be the opening act for their Take Me Home Tour in 2013 and then their Where We Are Tour in 2014.

“She Looks So Perfect” is the first single that brought 5SOS worldwide recognition in the true sense. Released in the first quarter of 2014, the song later became a part of their self-titled album. The song went on to top the charts in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland and UK Singles. 5SOS became the fourth Australian band to have their single top the UK Singles charts.

In the summer of 2014, 5SOS released their self-titled debut album via Capitol Records. The album contains hit singles like “She Looks So Perfect,” “Amnesia,” “Everything I Didn't Say,” and “Kiss Me Kiss Me” among others. The album peaked at number one in over a dozen countries, including charts such as UK Albums and the US Billboard 200. The album got gold status in many countries, UK and Australia being the prominent ones.

In such a small span, 5 Seconds Of Summer has garnered a huge fan following. They are considered as one of the best pop punk bands of the time.
