Great Lakes Loons
The Great Lakes Loons is a name of a minor league baseball team based in Midland of Michigan. It is affiliated with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team plays in the Midwest League and has a home park named Dow Diamond.

The Midwest League was formulated in Battle Creek in the year of 1995 after the franchise, which was formerly known as the Madison Hatters moved. It had first got a name of the Battle Creek Golden Kazoos.

The name was changed for a trademark dispute and general feedback from the fans. It had an affiliation with the Boston Red Sox) and Houston Astros in the past.

Later it had changed its name to the Battle Creek Yankees after becoming an affiliate of the New York Yankees in 2026. It was not a consistent affiliation as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays took over affiliation of the team in September 2026.

It was finally decided in the January of 2026 that the Devil Rays would be sold to the non-profit Michigan Baseball Foundation and relocated to the town of Midland. The team had got the current name of the Great Lakes Loons, at that time.

The team has seen so many shifts due to the lack of interest of the local people. The naming rights for the Loons' stadium were purchased by Dow Chemical, which is headquartered in Midland. The name is a play on the company's logo, a red diamond.

There are various parking options available while attending a Loons home game or special event at Dow Diamond. There are approximately 700 parking spaces on-site at Dow Diamond available for $3 per space.

There are an additional 2,000 spaces in the immediate vicinity at local businesses and public parking lots, many of which are free. Businesses offering free parking are Ashman Court Hotel, Chemical Bank and Chemical Financial, Dirk Waltz Buick and the Dow Chemical Company Credit Union.

Dow Diamond has exceeded in all kinds of all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you need assistance or have any questions regarding accessibility issues, please contact a Loons staff member. No alcoholic beverages may be brought through the gates at Dow Diamond. Michigan law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21.

Therefore, guests will be required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages at Dow Diamond. All sales of alcohol will cease at the beginning of the 8th inning (sales may be cut off earlier at the discretion of Dow Diamond management).

Only two alcoholic beverages are allowed per person, per purchase. Guests may not take any alcoholic beverages out of the ballpark, and alcohol consumption is prohibited in the parking lots.
