Christian pop duo For King and Country has released the dates of their headlining Summer Nights Tour 2020. Fans are super excited and rushing to book the best available deals on For King and Country tickets.
The Nashville- based brothers rose to prominence with their debut album Crave in the year 2012. The same year they were named New Artists to Watch by Billboard. Renowned publication American Songwriter described the duo as 'Australia's answer to Coldplay.'
Latest Studio Album
The music duo's third and latest studio album to hit the shelves is titled Burn the Ships. It was released through World Entertainment in October of 2018. The project features appearances by Moriah Peters and Courtney, the respective wives of Joel Smallbone and Luke Smallbone. For the production of the record For King and Country has worked in collaboration with Matt Hales, Tedd Tjornhom, Seth Mosley and Blake Kanicka.
The album was supported by three singles - God Only Knows, Joy and the title track. The singles God Only Knows and Joy received Gold certification from the RIAA. The album went on to become the duo's highest charting debut on the Billboard 200, at number 7. It also became their first number one entry on the Billboard's Christian Albums chart.
Apart from commercial success, Burn the Ships received widespread critical acclaim as well. Recently the duo won two Grammys, one in the 'Best Contemporarily Christian Music Album' category while the other one was for a remixed version of the song God Only Knows in the category of 'Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.'
The song Pioneers is a group effort featuring the spouses of both the musicians. Another song Hold Her is a much moving ballad which can be easily taken as a prayer for help and courage. The number God Only Knows talks about human experiences which can only be understood by God. Joy is unarguably one of the most impressive songs on the collection. It is a plea to God for joy in a situation where the act is struggling to find contentment.
Summer Nights Tour
Fans of the pop duo are in for a treat this summer as they have announced a headlining tour for 2020. The news was confirmed by them on twitter with a statement that read "Summer is almost upon us and with it, families, friends and one-of-a-kind memories. so that in mind, we're putting together our first ever, 'Summer Nights Tour' with company - fellow family-band Echosmith, and the ever classy and charismatic, Dave Barnes."

Coming to Prominence
The Smallbone brothers, Joel David and Luke James were interested in music when they were in high school. They used to provide background vocals for their sister, Rebecca St. James. The guys then decided to team up together and formed a band Austoville which they later changed to Joel & Luke and issued an extended play, 'A Tale of Two Towns.'
They then changed the group's name to For King & Country and released their second eponymous EP in 2011. During the same year, they signed with Warner Music Group and released the single, Busted Heart (Hold On to Me) which climbed to the third spot on the Christian Airplay chart. This song helped them build anticipation for their debut studio record and on February 28, 2012, 'Crave' hit the shelves. The album was received well by the critics and peaked at the fourth spot on the Christian Albums chart. Following the release of the record, the duo toured and also appeared on the show, 'Huckabee.'
Gaining More Fame
Joel & Luke locked themselves in the studio again and began to work on their next studio effort with producers, Ben Glover, Matt Hales, Seth Mosley and Tedd Tjornhom. On September 16, 2014, 'Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong' was released. This record brought them more success as it marked their first effort to achieve gold level sales in the United States. It peaked the thirteenth spot on the Billboard 200 and remained on the chart for seventeen weeks. In addition, it generated positive response from the critics and even won them a Grammy for 'Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.' The record also gave a couple of gold singles, Fix My Eyes and Shoulders both of which landed at the first spot on the Christian Airplay chart.
Burn the Ships Tour
On October 5, 2018, For Kings & Country came out with their third studio album, 'Burn the Ships.' This effort brought them international recognition and charted in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. It got the critics raving again and won them their second Grammy for, 'Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.'
