Canada based band Chromeo was formed in 2004 and includes David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel. The same year, Chromeo hit the spotlight with the release of its debut record, She's in Control. This album was a great effort that marked the duo's entry into the industry and placed their career on the right path. The album received favorable reviews and the group's sound was compared to that of 1980s' bands like Sylvester, Hall & Oates and Klymaxx. The band's single "Needy Girl" became a club hit across the world, with DJs playing it everywhere.
In 2005, the group came up with a mix CD of funky dance numbers like Un Joli Mix Pour Toi. In 2006, DJ Mehdi featured Chromeo in his track, "I Am Somebody". Other than that the group not just embarked on tours but also supported indie rock band Bloc Party on its British tour in 2007. In 2008, Chromeo teamed up with Hall & Oats' member Daryl Hall on Live from Daryl's House. They collaborated again in 2010 at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
After a few years of touring, Chromeo released its sophomore record, “Fancy Footwork”, which was positively reviewed. It propelled the group into the heavy scene club-banging, thrilling and party-rocking electrofunk. Their music video of the single "Night by Night" was viewed four million times on YouTube. Other credits of Chromeo include an appearance on the cover page of Future Magazine and have also been on Morning Becomes Eclectic of KCRW. Chromeo is an act no one should miss watching live. As the band comes to your town, you must attend the concert to have a great time.
Sharing the stage with Chromeo will be the Australian electronic group, Cut Copy. Initially formed by DJ Dan Whitford in 2001, Cut Copy now includes other members like Tim Hoey, Mitchell Scott and Ben Browning. So far the group has released four albums, a number of remixes, singles and three EPs. Cut Copy came up with its debut album, “Bright Like Neon Love” in 2003 that received moderate success. The ensemble achieved its breakthrough success with the release of second album titled, In Ghost Colours. The group has recently come up with Free Your Mind and will be supporting it in the upcoming tour with Chromeo.
From performing in small clubs and venues, Cut Copy gained recognition and a considerable fan following. The band then started performing in larger venues and also appeared in Miami's Ultra Music Festival. It also performed in Puerto Rico at an Indie Fest and at the Zappa Club among many other major events. Cut Copy kicked off its first worldwide tour in 2005, supporting international acts as Bloc party, Franz Ferdinand, Junior Senior, The Presets and Mylo. The group developed a larger fan base due to all the touring and performing in multiple countries. With Chromeo Cut Copy tickets you can attend an astounding music concert where you can enjoy electronic music at its best.
