A young man in his twenties, Buck follows the path of his own and always remain hot for his eventful and controversies booming career. It is amazing to find out that David Brown, who was born on March 15, 1981 in Nashville, TN, has started with a humbling musical begging. Today he is known as the super successful Young Buck who is a powerhouse of talent and charisma. Music was always a part of his life from the beginning.
Buck started rapping at the age of twelve and was in a recording studio by fourteen. With Major influenced by the works of Tupac, Dre and Eminem; Young Buck rocked the local areas and clubs with his power-packed performances.However, at the same age, he started selling drugs into the streets of Cashville in order to survive.
Young Bucks first major break came at the age of sixteen when he got the attention of Cash Money's main man Brian Williams. He took him from a high school to New Orleans where he started his professional rapping career with the rest of the Cash Money members. Buck got instant recognition for his work there and he decided to try his own shot at stardom, hence, left Cash Money and headed home.
During that time, Buck partnered with rapper D-Tay and the duo released the Thuggin' Til the End album in 2000. This was followed by his another spell with Cash Money and this time, it lasted just for two weeks. Although inconsistently, but Buck spent almost four years with Cash Money, and had also managed to create name for himself in the Hip Hop circles.
The real boom in Young Bucks career happened he met Juvenile, who had built his own company, UTP Records. The two rappers hit the road and spent 2001 touring together all over the States. When the tour hit New York City, Buck met 50 Cent who soon asked him to join his G-Unit crew. Buck signed with it in the year 2002 and started making music for this hottest band around.
The track Bloodhound was Bucks first contribution to 50 Cent. After it he co-wrote and appeared on the super hit album Beg For Mercy that was released on Nov 14, 2003. This first full-length debut of G-Unit suddenly brought Buck into the limelight and he enjoyed amazing mainstream success after this.
While this album went double platinum, the 2004 released Straight Outta Cashville became Buck's first G-Unit associated record that was released by Interscope. Although Buck was arrested after this as the result of VIBE Awards incident where he was convicted for stabbing Johnson in the chest with a knife, yet this did not affected the album sales as it was S certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Having sold his debut for over 1.1 million copies in the U.S. and 2.3 million in the rest of the world, Young Back stood tall in the whole G-Unit besides 50 cent. It was because of his Southern twang and laid-back yet aggressive flow that he made a good reputation among a section of music buffs.
With his interesting and innovative rapping techniques, he became an official hip-hop fixture from the new breed of rappers. Always prioritizing quality over quantity, Buck hit it back with his second major release after the period of three years.
The year 2007 witnessed the release of Buck The World, a hard-hitting album that was as much in-your-face as its creator Young Buck. Loaded with exciting single I Know You Want Me and other rapping treats like Hold On, You ain't Going Nowhere and Four Kings, the album rocked the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart by hitting No. 1 straightaway and debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 charts.
Quite surprisingly, critics also liked the dark, thick and cinematic appeal of the album and praised Buck for such putting forward such entertaining stuff.
